H170n wifi / HD530 / 16GB RAM reboots when rendering in Final Cut Pro X

I use Final Cut Pro X from time to time on projects. However, recently I have been experimenting on color grading and using LUTS. When I start rendering, the machine just suddenly reboots and I don't know why. In some cases, when I try to export, it also reboots.

anybody else have this experience and fix? I tried looking at the logs in console app but I am not even sure where to look
