Hi,

Pretty new here, following a few builders and their systems for making hackingtosh happen with Sierra.

Recently I decided that I needed an upgrade so I dropped my Mac Pro from 2008 and built a custom system following the parts here for best compatibility.

I've followed Toms guide to make the USB and download Sierra.

My system is using the following;
Asrock Z270 Gaming ITX/AC Fatality
I5 6700k Unlocked
EVEA GeForce GTX 1060 6th

Now everything works to the point of boot up to get into the installer. I get stuck on the logo and using verbose it doesn't really go far either. Its stops after:

Any suggestions would be great. My apology for it being sideways, haven't figured out how to flip it on here.

Thank you in advance.

What is Tom's guide ? Do you have a link to it ?

@ajer2009, please update your profile (personal details) with your Motherboard or Make/Model, CPU and Graphics Card.

I've finally got it to boot and install the OS. However it seems like I'm having another issue and that is with MultiBeast. After installing the very default startup files, without selecting anything else other then preselected SMC file, upon reboot I'm stuck in the logo again. I did notice that clover screen for boot is different then the one USB created uses. Could that be the problem? Wrong clover? Suggestions?

Boot verbose, take a picture of the screen where it stops and post it here.

It stops at a line of bunch of x's or +'s... Exactly the same screen as above. As soon as I switched the clover on the firdt boot of installer, it worked. Now since post install installs a different version of closer, it fails just the same way. Anyone know what version of clover is used in the installer that is more cleaner and blueish

All set guys, thanks for the help. Ive got a few things that aren't working like audio, bluetooth and a few other things but found a good build article that has clover setup per my motherboard specs, video and CPU. Will test that.

That said, anyone know if there's a way to boot OSX using the DVI connection vs HDMI? Booting HDMI just turns my monitor off on boot. If I unplug it, then it uses DVI and loads fine, I just have to plug in the HDMI monitor in after OSX boots with the DVI monitor and both monitors work. Any suggestions how to get OSX to use DVI over HDMI?

How did you figure it out? I have the same problem.
