Guys, will a 3000mhz ddr4 16gb have any issues this build? It's not in the supported ram list for my mobo but so does the 2666mhz.

I'm using 8gb ddr4 2666mhz. It was being detected as 2133mhz which is fine with me. But i want to upgrade to 16gb. I found a local deal and getting the 3000ghz is cheaper than the 2400mhz or even 2666mhz.

(When i upgraded to sierra, my system detected the ram as 2666mhz though)

After the security update, I was put into an infinite boot loop. So, I reformatted my hard drive and started from scratch since I created a backup to my files a couple days before. My hackintosh mini afterwards was a little quirky: wifi and audio would drop and I could only boot after pressing F12 to choose my boot option. Well, today, after working on my system and backing up my files, I lost my sound and wifi once again. So, I shut down my computer and rebooted. Now, I can't even get into the boot options when pressing F12 at start up. Any ideas of what is happening and how fix it?

Hi I've successfully built this with the i7 6700K and everything works except for bluetooth, can't be bothered to try and fix it.

My one problem however is with the USB ports. I can't use any USB 3.0 devices. I need to plug a USB 3.0 hard drive but it doesn't show up. I've googled a lot and searched through this website with no luck. I've found lots of info but I'm not good enough with this to understand what I need to do. Can someone please guide me through this?

Cheers!

EDIT: I used KextBeast to install the InjectAllUSB.kext file again and it fixed my problem!

EDIT 2: I realised that the WiFi drops every now and then. Seems like if the computer goes to sleep, it'll have WiFi issues after that, only to be fixed with a restart. Any tips on this issue?

Is there a guide similar to this for Sierra? I would like to do a new install on my system.

My computer was made with what's below and is stuck in a restart loop from an update. I cannot even get it to start fresh from my Installer USB stick, after which I could restore from my lasted backup. It's step three of the install of El Capitan where it gets stuck and the apple logo changes to a circle with a cross through it. Any ideas what I should do or what might be wrong? The only problems I had with the machine was sleep mode and it was only registering 16GB of RAM, which I didn't get around to fixing.
