As in the title, we have two iMacs in the family, and both had backup of the Mavericks and Yosemite installer downloaded from Apple at the time they came out.
I've used Mavericks to use the new Apple Motion version and my wife use Yosemite to run FCP X.
But now that I have to re install Yosemite on her iMac the installer says that there are problems with its version.
Same story with the Mavericks one when I tried to use it to re install, after a period of downgrade on my iMac on Mountain Lion that I had before.
All legal stuff and I must say not happy also of what I red online about Apple policy on sending a new copy of Snow DVD when yours it's not working for a scratch... My iMac mid 2011 had Snow installed, but I'm also the owner of a bought copy of Snow for my old portable and Mac Pro that doesn't work for a scratch.
Now, you'll say ask to apple Discussion, but as I'm building a Hackintosh to run Mavericks, I'm asking you guys: do you have same issues on backupped OsX installers?
Thank you!
