[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70 using Clover UEFI (10.11)

If you're saying Clover is not showing your 10.11 as a boot target, I can think of two potential causes:
1) you have "fast boot" enabled but Clover is booting from your Windows SSD. Clover is not able to see the other drive. Fix: disable fast boot
2) you're missing HFSPlus.efi in drivers64UEFI

hi rehabman, clover isn't even loading anymore. i don't see the clover page where i used to see my osx drive and recovery drive.

What is loading instead of Clover?

noting, it's like there's no bootable device, this is when i remove my windows ssd. but i can see my mac partitions in acronis when i'm in windows

No idea what you're trying to say.
Make sure you read important dual boot information in post #2 of the main laptop Clover guide.

Hint: Perhaps you forgot to set Clover as a UEFI boot entry with efibootmgr in Linux.

Hi,
i installed a z50-70 following the guide, thanks guys..
Macos Sierra works like a charm.
Done it with

Code (Text):
mkdir ~/Projects
cd ~/Projects
git clone https://github.com/the-braveknight/Lenovo-Z50-DSDT-Patch.git z50.git
etc ..

the only Problem, i live in Germany and my installed
BCM94360BAED shows me Country Code US.
I seriously try to understand how to fix it, but unfortunatly i am not able to do this.
Do i have to edit the config.plist, there are only entries for 10.11 and 10.10?
Please give me a hint or guide me to the right direction.
I try to understand the toledo repository, but it seems to be outdated?
No Command or script für macos sierra?

regards

I really don't know. Refer to Wi-Fi/AirPort guides in the forum.

hi rehabman,

i think i now know what went wrong. i have 2 ssd's, 1 for osx, 1 for windows. they were installed independently, when osx was installed, windows ssd was not plugged in. when windows was installed, osx ssd was not plugged in. now, everytime i would restore my windows partition using acronis, i would remove my osd ssd. but this time, i did not do an acronis restore, but installed windows 10 from scratch, and i did not remove the osx ssd. i directed windows installation to my windows ssd, ofcourse. i deleted the EFI, recovery and C drive of my windows ssd, and just installed in the unallocated space. windows might have seen i already have an EFI partition in my other ssd, which is for osx, it might have overwritten it. i can confirm this because my windows ssd does not have a recovery partition nor an EFI partition, and when i removed my osx ssd, windows would not boot. how do i fix mac osx EFI partition, it might not be a simple fix, since windows overwrote the entire EFI partition, i think.

thanks

i'm thinking, i need to boot using a usb installer, and boot to my mac osx installation. from there, do the post-installation instructions, is this right? if it is, what should i do with my current broken EFI partition? reformat it? with what? fat32?

thanks

If you’ve damaged your EFI partition I’m not so sure you can do anything. Best to start from scratch, if you’re using two drives plug them in and install macOS, then install Windows after it. Use Linux to add macOS boot entry to your UEFI boot menu.
It is all covered in RehabMan’s Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
