Any idea if Kaby Lake CPU will work with Z170 Motherboard ? Thanks.

Yes. It works. I am using an i7-7700K with Z170. As far as I know, even the latest iMacs use Kaby Lake CPUs with 100-series chipset.

Hey Pastrychef, same thing here on an ASRock Z170 Pro4s.

Did you manage to get the HD630 graphics working natively? If so, what is your config.plist like?

Thanks in advance!

Hi.

I use a GTX 1080 but I do enable the HD 630.

In my config.plist, I have:
Rename GFX0 to IGPU
Rename PEGP to GFX0
FakeID IntelGFX = 0x59128086
Inject Intel
ig-platform-ip = 0x59120003
SMBIOS = iMac18,3

P.S.: Please update your profile to show what motherboard, CPU, and GPU you are using so that it's easier for others to help you.

Just updated, thanks. Got sounds figured out today as well but still get the noisy glitches. Making progress..!

What do you mean "noisy glitches"? Sound issue? Are you using MultiBeast for sound or VoodooHDA?

Hey PastryChef,

Yes background noise and glitches using VoodooHDA. Even after modifying the settings file to gain = 0.

I'm also getting a lot of reboots. My graphics are not recognized properly. Just showing Intel KBL 1546 MB

If your audio chipset is supported by MultiBeast, I think you would get better results.

For your graphics card, try to find out if your motherboard and BIOS supports native NVRAM, if not, install EmuVariableUEFI-64 + RC scripts.

In Clover Configurator:
  1. Make sure nv_disable=1 is unchecked.
  2. Do not inject Nvidia.
  3. Make sure NvidiaWeb is checked.

I need more info regarding your reboots...

I also have a problem installing my first hackintosh. I tried with Sierra High, Sierra, El Capitan and Yosemite but I just saw that my cpu is not compatible with Yosemite. When I started installing Sierra, I got "Press any key to continue..." message and when I press the key, it freezes the screen. I guess there is a problem with booting my usb drive and also with my kaby lake processor. Any advice?

Hardware:
CPU: Intel i5-7600K
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti OC
MOBO: Gigabyte Z270-HD3 (F6 bios version)
RAM: 2x8gb Crucial 2400Mhz
SSD: Samsung EVO 850
HDD: Baraccuda 1TB
