Hi,
I know is going to sound crazy.
I built my perfectly working Sierra using the board in my sig when 10.12 first came out.
I have noticed that whilst all of my audio works, and I use the optical SPDIF out on my board (Digital Out) for my sound, my microphone, which **is** listed in input devices and plugged into the pink socket and working fine in Windows 10, isn't working on my Sierra build (it dual boots, mic is fine in Windows, so it's not hardware).
My problem is, in the time since I built my Sierra build, I've been rather ill and had multiple surgical operations (yeah yada yada) but such things have meant I can't remember which method I used to install my alc audio and get it working originally. Did I use Multibeast, Toleda script, Piker script? I simply cannot remember.
TLDR Problem: How can I deduce which audio method I used/am using and then how can I diagnose the line-in mic via pink input socket which not working? Remember audio out, even DTS is fine!
I have read Toleda's excellent PDF, unsure if it also applies to Sierra though.
Thanks in advance, good things to you all.
