Try changing your SMBIOS to iMac 13,1 ...Have your DP cable connected to your monitor, not VGA. Reboot and see if you can get accelerated graphics with HD4000.

No joy. With 13,1 and InjectIntel, OS X boot progress bar (as it did previously with 13,2 or 14,2) hangs at 25%.

With DP connected, monitor continues to insist no input detected and goes into sleep mode.

13,1 without InjectIntel boots fine (with VGA and tv) but shows the same 3MB display properties.

Guess I'll wait for the 1030.

I have gotten a basic DP to HDMI adapter to work to a TV screen via the HD4000. Those have to be ordered online and shipped so yes, probably best to just wait for the GT1030 and use the web drivers with that.

Got it all working guys.
I feel really dumb...I had the HD formatted as Master boot record not GUID partition map.

I have the wifi card coming in the next couple days so might run into a few issues. hopefully not!

Updated to macOS Sierra 10.12.6 directly from App Store and all is working great.

Just leave both drives plugged in. Set the drive that contains Clover to boot first in BIOS.

ALC221 HD Audio Solved. I'm pretty certain I've now got a workable solution for analog and digital audio. What is required is that you install the VoodooHDA 2.9.0 kext and the AppleHDAdisabler kext to /L/E. That seems to do the trick.

Remove any previous Voodoo installs first before doing this, empty trash and reboot then run Kextbeast.

Nothing else is needed. No prefpane etc. Please test this out if you have a chance. Thanks. Hope this works if you've not had previous success with analog audio on your HP.

Both kexts are attached below.

I just tested. Here are my results:

  1. Still no audio when using the HDMI port of my video card.
  2. HDMI audio works when using DVI-D to HDMI adaptor with my video card's DVI-D port.
  3. Green audio out port in the rear of computer works, albeit at a pretty low volume.
  4. The built-in motherboard speaker works, again, very low volume.

Overall, I think this is the best result I've seen so far.

That's some progress, have you also tried putting the V.HDA kext in your /S/L/E folder ? The other thing that may make a difference, but I can't check, if the igpu (HD4000) is enabled or not. Maybe that makes some difference ? I guess if the DVI-D to HDMI adapter works that at least gives you full volume. It will be interesting to hear if those with Pascal based cards have the same results as I did. I'm getting full volume, clean and clear audio from HDMI, Green line out and front Headphone jack as well.
When I plug or unplug headphones it switches immediately on or off so I don't have anything to complain about. :)
