I mainly use the cheap GT 610/620 or GT 710/720 that you can get on ebay for $25.00 (just search for Dell Nvidia GT). Any card that does not require additional power (12V 4-pin, I think) should be ok. I would not recommend any card that uses more than 75W, though.

BTW, what SMBIOS model are you using? iMac14,2?

I can confirm a 1050ti (lp) works with Dell Optiplex, using "PCIE power" only.
(Ran 'nasty' gpu stress benchies, no problem).

In that case I can just put it in the 790 box I got originally and make that one a Gentoo install. :twisted:

Your mileage might vary. Apparently using nv_disable=1 during bootup for the install process gets it to work (likely without full acceleration support) so you can install the web drivers. Once those are installed, remove nv_disable=1 from the boot args for full acceleration.
