here it shows nothing...but last time I booted and open DPCIManager it showed me VIA audio...so I don't know what to install or do

VIA Audio requires a Patched AppleHDA or a injector Kext or could just use VoodooHDA from Multibeast.

No idea. Don't have such strange hardware. Your job to experiment.

  • As VioletDragon indicated in an earlier post, your VIA Audio unlike Realtek ALC has no way I know to fix.
  • I am going to be Out of town in a few minutes and unable to help you with a detailed step-by-step troubleshoot to fix the HDMI sound.
    • VoodooHDA is an open source audio driver for devices compliant with the Intel High Definition Audio specification. It is intended as a replacement for AppleHDA on Mac OS X with support for a wide range of audio controllers and codecs
      • automatic recognition of all HDA codecs
      • test jacks for autoswitch
      • control panel for fine tuning
      • sound treatment includes stereo enhancements
      • since v2.8 it works with two sound cards
    You can download and try to add the kext to "CLOVER >Other" folder using CC-V and later if needed to install it into/S/L/E using "Kext Wizard"
    Good luck. I will check your progress when I am back.

@cmn699, no sound without AppleHDA.kext ;)

The problem is VIA isn't supported unlike ALC Codec and will require a Linux Dump and a patched AppleHDA or Injector kext. Personally not worth it with VIA Audio.

From your motherboard manual:
Azalia Codec

Enables or disables the onboard audio function. (Default: Auto)
If you wish to install a 3rd party add-in audio card instead of using the onboard audio, set this item to Disabled.
Possible solution: Disable VIA audio and replace AppleHDA.kext - then choose a method for Nvidia HDMI audio, there are several here and elsewhere on the internet. USB audio might be the way to go as others have suggested.
