Can someone with Z270X Gaming 5 + Kaby Lake share their config file with me?

Edit: never mind, have sorted.

Out of curiosity have you gotten your 200 series MB plus the Kaby Lake CPU to run OSX properly? I'm new to this form and am putting my first CustoMac Pro and am in the processor of researching and putting a list of parts together. I'm looking at the the GA-Z270X-UD5 with the new Core i7 7700k CPU even though the buyers guide mentions that they are new and not native yet in MacOS. If it works fine then I'm going go with the newer option for MB and CPU.

Thanks.

Yes. The CPU has to be spoofed which is easy to do, but you might need advice on the process. I haven't got sound working yet, other than via USB (which will always generally work without drivers).

Other than on board sound, I think everything is working now. What GPU are you looking at? Anything 10 series will need the Web Drivers from Nvidia, which took a bit of trial and error.

Yeah, I have no clue how to spoof a CPU. Is it worth the trouble?

I've been looking at a few different GPUs. Top of my list I is the GeForce GTX 1070 FTW Hybrid Gaming. Second in line is the GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 06G-P4-6368-KR. It comes down to budget vs performance for me. I need something decently powerful though.

Sound is a big issue for me, this computer will be used for audio post and music, which is why I was leaning towards the hybrid.

If I were you, I'd be using a decent external USB sound card/device anyway. Board sound drivers are so damn dicky.

Yeah CPU is a piece of **** once you know how. Bookmark this post and put on a message when you have your system all set up and I'll put in steps. What's your timeline anyway? Apple might have released their own Kaby Lake machines by then, and then you won't have to spoof it.

I use a 1060 6GB on one of my machines with Pascal drivers and have no real issues. I'm guessing this is going to be running Windows (i.e. gaming) too then? Otherwise is there any point running a grunty GPU on macOS alone?

Yeah I won't be using any of the internal sound on this machine, I currently use a FireWire Motu external sound card and may be updating to a thunderbolt one in the near future. I work in audio and video so I unfortunately need the higher end sound cards.

I'll be doing a fair amount if video work as well on this machine so I need something good for a GPU. I will need a multiple monitor setup, 3 to 4.

Yes I will be setting up a Windows drive on this too. I haven't own a Windows PC in years but am a little excited about my gaming options... ha! Been more of console guy all these years.

My timeline isn't immediate, so yes I'm hoping Apple may release a Kaby Lake update by then. I'm only in the planning stages right now, looking at my options etc.
