AMD Radeon RX 480

Hey guys, I have a question,
I see there is the device ID 0x67DF1002 present in macOS 10.12.4 for RX480 inside AMD9500.kext and AMDRadeonX4100.kext. Does it mean it has native support or do you still need to use fakeID?

Are you sure you didn't edit your kexts? It's certainly not there in my installs of 10.12.4, or public 10.12.5

yeah I didn't edit the kexts, I'm not even using sierra at the moment, but I might be mistaking. I see the device ID in AMD9500.kext but you're right it's not present in AMDRadeonX4100.kext. Let me double check it and get back to you.

It is weird!!
In macOS 10.12.3 combo update there is a AMD9500Controller.kext which has the Device ID 0x67DF1002, but in AMDRadeon4100.kext it's not there and in macOS 10.12.4 installer there is no AMD9500Controller.kext, instead there is AMD9510Controller.kext which only has 0x67EF1002 device ID in it, and for AMDRadeonX4100.kext you're right there is no such ID present only 0x67E01002 0x67FF1002 0x67EF1002.
So you're right.
There is no native support yet.

Hi, I succeeded in installing Sierra 10.12.3 and without having to modify anything the system recognized the RX 480 as AMD R9 XXX even if it did not accelerate. Now after the update on 10.12.4 the system does not recognize either the RX or the other HD5450 that would serve for help. Can you help me configure both the RX 480 and HD5450 boards in post installation? I connected my RX 480 to the first slot available (slot 2) and the HD5450 in the next slot (slot 4), is it correct? Can not set the primary and secondary bios as I have to proceed to make the most of my RX 480?
Is the Gigamaxx's Guide Compatible with My Motherboard (X99) Without Integrated Card?
Thank you.

Looking to get a GPU for my first Hackintosh. Would a 480 be more "stable" than a 1070? By stable I mean I won't have to mess with it after I get it all configured.

1070 as all Nvidia Pascal cards has get support under OSX with Nvidia Web Drivers, so it's a better solution because you have only to install a DMG and it's done. Probably AMD RX4xx series get better performances per price because they are almost native...

Hi all, i have been succesfully install Sapphire RX 480 4GB on my hackintosh, thanks to gigamax and all of member on this thread, but how about HDMI audio ? on my hackintosh HDMI Audio doesn't work.

This won't work... I'm trying it anyway, but I know it won't work with HDMI Audio on the RX 400 series cards...
