Bad advice, the entire GTX 10*0 graphics series is currently unsupported in OS X/macOS.I think these can make a good 4k video editing machine for under $850

If you can edit 4K video on a 12" Macbook or Macbook Pro then you can edit 4K video on a Quad core i7
It is when you try to apply filters that your video editing begins to struggle.
These HP 8300 are very easy to setup and perform great. Very stable and use very little energy.
The Better than a Mac mini.
