Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

Managed to get my 1060 working on my Sierra hack. However, it doesn't automatically boot with web drivers and I have to manual select in clover before booting the OS - I've tried the custom clover install fix but it still doesn't boot automatically. Any ideas?

Thank you very much.

I had CSM disabled already.

My issue is yet simple and excruciating: 9 from 10 times, after wake from sleep, or if I boot with two monitors (always), I have no signal on 4K TV (main monitor). If I power cycle TV, signal shows on screen. Nvidia driver loads OK.

Methods tried so far:

- Lilu
- AGPDFix
- Change SysDef
- HDMI injection for nvdia cards (I read this SSDT injects all ports)

This erratic behaviour is driving me nuts...

Well, with CSM disabled, even HDMI 2.0 without Club3d adapter works...But I'm having same issues with dual monitor boot / wake from sleep...

I've also tried Graphic SSDT injection (moving to GFX0/GFX1), with same results...

My only way out is reading the forums, waiting for someone having my combo (nvidia 1080 + HDMI 2.0 TV), and asking him...If it works in that case, then I'll have to *gasp* change nvidia card ...

I have been able to install the Web Drivers properly but my OSX Sierra won't switch to the Nvidia driver and returns to the default driver everytime. I tried all yours steps on the first post for enabling NVram but no luck.

Zip and attach your EFI folder.

Hi, I can't seem to fix the black screen after boot. The only way I'm able to boot up is to hook up the monitor via HDMI to onboard graphics and pull it out once it's booted. I've tried the Lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext. Also Shilohh's AGDPfix. But no sucess so far :( Any ideas ?

System:
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
i7 6700k
GTX 1060
950 Pro Boot drive

What kind of connection to your monitor are you using? Are you using any adapters?

Nope just a straight displayport cable...
