This is a summary of my recommendaion.

Clone your current system to another drive (internal or external).

Make the clone bootable.

Boot to the clone.

From the clone, repartition and reformat the SSD.

Clone the clone back to the SSD.

Make the SSD bootable.

This all works if you have a spare drive.

If you would like to take this process on, I could provide you support with directions for each step in the process.

Good modding,
neil

Thanks! I will try a few other things first and if they don't work out, I will come back to your suggestion.

[SOLVED] boot0: done

Wow, I found a solution. I can't believe it. I followed this: http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/115818-install-bootloader-extra-efi-partition.html and I can boot now.

I'm still not 100% convinced that everything works quite right, but I at least I can boot straight in now.

Thanks for your help guys. This is a great community.

j_cal, did you have to reformat you drive? Or were you able to save any of the information on your drive?
I'm now having the "boot0 done" issue on my machine, and it's been running fine for years. I'd rather not lose all my info on my system drive. And of course haven't been backing up regularly...
