[SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

If Apple doesn't drop them in a Sierra update is it really that unlikely that we'd get drivers from Apple or Nvidia within the next year or two? Seems like Nvidia may have an interest in doing it.

I really know practically nothing about AMD let alone how the Vega architecture compares to Pascal, but would we ever see Vega drivers for Mac if were never getting Pascal ones?
I think this is more likely than seeing any pascal drivers.

Y'all think it would be in Mac OS Sierra or a later OS that they'd include Vega drivers before Pascal? I've heard that Pascal crushes Vega for VR gaming and development. Can anyone confirm?

hi guys so I have hd4000 for macos and a gtx 1060 for windows. the hd4000 is connected with dvi connector to my monitor. the gtx 1060 is connected with hdmi to my plasma tv. what I would like to do is connect the gtx 1060 to my monitor to play from my desktop.
I've disabled the hd4000 under windows but somehow it's still using the dvi and the hd4000
If I disconnect the dvi from the hd4000 while on windows and put it on the gtx 1060 I can see windows but it seems like it's showing a second monitor (without the chance to go on control panel because I can' see the menu)

can you please help?

Texan? Greatings!

So even if it does (and I've heard that too) gaming and vr isn't a Mac thing.

Currently live in Chicago but before lived in Austin! Still, like to consider myself more of New Orleanean.

Right, I know Mac doesn't really do VR but I dual boot on my hackintosh. I game on Windows and do design/photo/video work on Mac. Just bought a GTX 970 to use for now I'll probably be fine.

Awesome I lived in Austin as well for a time.

Anyway, the 970 is a good choice for where we are now. It's a shame because if you wander the Nvidia Linux Dev forums, the moderator responses often and answers direct questions. In fact its the only active forum in Unix land over there. Its clearly a case of a discarded relationship between the two.

Ironic since Nvidia is a lot like Apple in a way. They both like to run things their way on their platform.

I am just curious - where do you guys check for drivers update?

I mean - I know I only check here, but I was wondering - people are sharing some weird links from NVidia's website(s) - where do you go looking for these?
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk - this obviously is not the place, I am guessing?

182 Pages of hope and no progress. Theres nothing new we can say, find, or deduce from the current situation. Therefore - silence.
