I've been testing out UniBeast and MultiBeast over the past few days and love these tools...I was able to install Sierra on my custom build PC and get it working within a few hours! I did notice something strange when using the USB installer created by UniBeast, though. I've been using Macs for a while and am pretty familiar with the official installation process, and I noticed that the USB installer created by UniBeast skips the initial welcome screen (http://macossierra-slow.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/MacOS-Utility.png). The actual installer itself looks slightly different to me as well in terms of what the buttons look like and how many there are...there are some buttons that aren't there in my installers created using the createinstallmedia command, like the "Customize Installation" button that just shows the OS X base system option.

I have no issues with these at all, but I'm wondering why an installer created with UniBeast differs from an installer created using createinstallmedia in these ways, and how UniBeast specifically modifies the installer to result in these differences...I initially thought UniBeast simply automated the process of running createinstallmedia, installing clover, and performing necessary modifications and kext installations to get the USB installer bootable.

Thanks so much!

Robert

Yes- the method that UniBeast uses to build the installer USB is quite different than the createinstallmedia method. We rearrange the files to mimic the old style (Snow Leopard) installer because it bypasses a step that basically copies all of the installer files twice. You will notice that UniBeast takes 1 step and 1 reboot and completes in about 15 minutes, while createinstallmedia takes 2 steps, 2 reboots, and about 45 minutes.

Ah ok, that makes sense. Thank you!
