I found a simple solution for working sound .

I installed Windows 10 on a different HDD and installed the Audio Driver.

back in OSX it works :lol:

@Applementalist

What exactly do you mean? Do you have 2 separate drives dual-booting MacOS and Windows? Did you install the Realtek codec on Windows or use the native one? I've got my headphones working through the front-headphone jack after installing the ALC1150 + 100 series audio drivers off MultiBeast, but I can't get only my speakers working

I have removed the OSX Drive and put only one HDD for Windows in the PC.

Installed windows throuch a USB-Stick .

Installed all Windows drivers from Gigabytes website also the codec.

The combination ALC1150 + 100 Series doesn't work for me .

I get Sound with Green and Red(Bass) Jack . In OSX i see an optical output but can't test it .

Oh I see... not the most practical solution unfortunately

Thanks for sharing your nice build. Just finished a very similar one (with an old GTX 670 instead of the 970) with the latest Sierra 10.12.3, and thought I'd share how I solved some of the issues I had:

  • Shutdown would reboot instead. The FixShutdown checkbox in Clover Configurator / Acpi made it work
  • Was seeing a memory error 51 on the motherboard. Was harmless, but still got rid of it by disabling thunderbolt 3 in the BIOS since I'm not using it for now.
  • The NVidia web drivers work fine with my GTX 670 (nvda_enable=1). Need the latest ones for 10.12.3 though: https://www.tonymacx86.com/nvidia-drivers/
  • Audio was not working. Had initially installed Realtek ALC1150 and 100 Series audio via MultiBeast, but it only ended up working after following this guide, which basically removes these settings and installs a custom AppleALC kext: https://www.******.com/r/hackintosh/comments/4sil5p/audio_mechanic_old_patchfix_removal_applealc/ . Also set the Audio inject number to 11.
  • I have two SSD and one extra internal SATA but non-SSD HD. If I do not disable "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" in "System Preferences / Energy Saver" the non-SSD disk would get unmounted after some inactivity.
The only remaining issue is sleep&wake. It goes to sleep but wakes 1s after. Seems to be a common problem. Tried darkwake=0, enabling ErP in the BIOS, and enabling FIX_WAK in Clover ACPI/NewWay but no luck so far.

Note: after upgrading to a GTX980, I had to follow these instructions, otherwise the NVidia Web driver was not active anymore:

Hi Cmfusco1, I just wanted to thank you for posting this guide. I purchase the motherboard based on following your guide and my build was up and running in a few hours. I really appreciate your hard work and updates you have provided. Your guide also works for Sierra 10.12.3 which I am currently using. Thanks again!
