This is a statement, not a question.

Fair enough, but why do u even comment here? you don't have pascal. In fact you seem very against the idea of pascal at all the amount of time you recommend AMD.

(yes i know about freedom of speech and all)

I'm just going to indulge in some wild speculation here... what if NVIDIA wasn't releasing drivers at Apple's request due to a deal to put Pascal in upcoming desktops? Apple surely wouldn't want us in the Hackintosh community getting that pascal goodness first, right? It may also explain that NVIDIA job posting a while back...

It's a possibility, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Apple has been putting AMD GPU's in their previous Retina iMac's.

I agree, but it does seem to explain nicely some of the things we've been seeing. And since Apple is on a slim form factor kick for a while now, I would think NVIDIA would better fit their needs as the lower power draw and heat specs do favor them. AMD is providing some stiff competition at the mid to low end which is where I would expect Apple to focus their attention mostly. A 1050ti would be far easier to shoehorn into a paper thin iMac than most cards and would be worlds more powerful than anything Apple is currently using in all but perhaps the Pro.

That 10% Mac userbase of Apple has been loyal since the 80's.

Most of those people came from desktop publishing, graphic design, illustration, motion graphics and editing.

If Apple loses that SUPER LOYAL user base, it will have a domino effect in their ecosystem of iOS devices because loads of those people buy their other crap.

Many companies wish they had such a loyal user base. They're the most vicious and vocal group out of the bunch.

They're so vocal that they go out of their way to the trouble of building Hackintoshes.

I really hope Tim Cook doen't see that Hackintosh people would "never buy a Mac anyway" type of user base, but more like being more appealing to the 10% user base.
