I have the same problem with my Hack, 2 x 8Gb Kingston Fury installed showing as 2 x 4Gb in about this mac. Does it make a difference if it is only showing 8 even though you have 16 gig installed, does the Mac only use the 8 that it thinks it has is installed or will it really use the full 16 gig. I'm not a one for understanding the configurator thing, its way above my head with all this kext alterations.

Hi All,

I experimented by changing the SMBIOS settings in the config.plist file on a USB boot stick by using Clover Configurator. I used the following memory settings...

After saving those changes, I then double clicked on the EFI/EFI/CLOBER/config.plist file to open the plist file in Xcode. (You need to install Xcode development environment to do this next step).

I then modified the memory size from 8192 to 16384:

I then save the config.plist file. If i open the config.plist file again in Clover Configurator, i get:

Okay., So I reboot the system from the USB drive which has the modified memory settings...
The result is as follows:

and

... So it *seems* so far, that OS X (both the operating system and menumeters) now recognises my 32 GB of memory. However, apple seems to have problems reporting the fact i have 2x 16 GB sticks... :)

I will use my system for a while under this configuration over the next few days, and report on how it goes in practice..
I had the same exact problem. how is it now ?

sorted it, I have 2 x 8gb Kingston Hyper FuryX 2400 DDR4 modules, they now show up correct in about this Mac

I just added a string to the config.plist on my EFI boot
