USB Drive concern..

Hi, this might be a stupid question but, in the guides it says that i have to format the USB drive for it to be partitioned, i have no problem with that, but will i be able to return it to is original state ?

And another thing, what iBoot do i need to use, since in the guides the only types of processors are ivy bridge ans haswell, and i think my core 2 quad Q8300 is none of those.

You can always reformat the USB for other use later.

for the hardware in your profile use iBoot or iBoot Legacy
 
For the mac combo update, can i pre download it and put it in my usb drive?, or do i have to download it once osx gets installed??

You can pre-download any of the Combo updates.
 
One more question, my motherboard doesn't seem to have ACHI mode, is that a no go, or is there some kind of workaround?

(im on revision 2.1, and my BIOS are updated..)

Early models may have Enhanced Mode instead of AHCI.
 
Hey thanks for all the answers by the way!, one last thing (again), do i have to install os x 10.6 or can i jump to maverick directly?, and if so what version of unibeast do i need to download.

Mavericks is no longer an available download if you have never downloaded it before. The only choice is Sierra.
From what I understand you have to purchase Lion from your SL install, install Lion, then download and install Sierra.
