Thanks.
When you replaced to H97M-PLUS, was the installation easy as Z97MX-Gaming 5?

Yes it was exactly the same. The only difference with the board is that it uses ALC 887 audio codec and it lacks overclocking features compared to Gaming 5 but I didn't mind as I never tweaked anything in the BIOS. I have not had any issues with the board whatsoever. Just recently, my computer was up for 28 days without a crash. The only reason I ended up restarting was because of the 10.12.1 update.

Sorry for the late reply guys. I just went into BIOS, Advanced Memory Configuration, XMP > Disabled.
In Clover I set XMP-Detection to "Off." This effectively changed the RAM frequency from 1866mhz to 1333mhz.

That solved my Photos related crashes. I'm now having issues related to the screensaver - I have it set as one screen saver but it will only load the Apple logo and computer name one; after waking it up from screensaver, there is a system wide lag and then Word will crash. No idea what to do about this...

I'm also running the F7c BIOS from Tweaktown but it did not help with the RAM/Photos crash.

Can confirm that on the UD5H-BK, 10.12.1 doesn't see any improvement. Hoping a new Bios might solve.

sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.photoanalysisd.plist and you're running again
