Do you guys foresee any issues with running this in my CMT for Sierra, seems like a cheap price, as I have had no luck in getting that K600 working and 35 bucks is easy enough to deal with.

No problem AFAIK.

Thanks trs96, I have a GTX 670 laying around from a previous upgrade on my main PC but I dont know about the whole 2 x SATA to 6 pin adapter setup and if it is worth going that route or not. This 670 is triple fan setup, and I can't imagine the power draw is insignificant as its meant to overclock and stay cool so it is overbuilt which could be tough on the 320w power supply, 2 SSD's, and broadcom WIFI setup in this rig.

For those who wish to add iMessage, Continuity, Handoff, etc. to an HP Elite 8300, you can purchase a BCM94360CS (BCM94360CD also works but has 4 antennas and the backplate won't fit in SFF models) with PCI-e adaptor and plug it in to the PCI-e x1 slot.

As you can see, these cards have an internal cable that carries Bluetooth data signals and are meant to be connected to internal USB 2 headers. On the Microtower and SFF Elite 8300s, we can use the headers marked as MEDIA and MEDIA2 (either one works) as seen in the following image:

On Convertible Minitower Elite 8300s, we can use the following headers (either will work):

Be sure to read the fantastic guide written by P1LGRIM on how to properly configure your system to get iMessage, Continuity, Handoff, etc. working: An iDiot's Guide To iMessage | tonymacx86.com

I just noticed the two extra Sata Power connections from that diagram. Should come in handy if anyone needs more hard drives in their system. I wonder if they could be used for supplemental power (6 or 8 Pin) for a graphics card ? Would just need the right connector if they provide enough current.

Yes. I've been using the extra SATA connectors since day one. I purchased a 2x2.5" to 3.5" hot swap module to fill the 3.5" bay under the optical drive. It has made life much easier for me when switching operating systems. I got a cheap-o one but it works fine.

Thanks for your great posts and help as always. I noticed a lot of people run these hot swap bays on hackintoshes, is there an advantage or a reason? I have two SSDs, windows 10, and Sierra eventually lol once I get new video card. I also have a spinner terabyte drive for apps and data so trying to understand the benefits of the bays.

Hot swap bays are really just convenience items. They allow you to quickly and easily swap out hard drives. Among the reasons I like them are:

  1. Over the years, I've had many mechanical hard drives die on me. Having them in hot swap bays makes it easy for me to replace them.
  2. If you need to clone drives or copy lots of data, hot swap bays can make it easy. Just pop in the destination drive and get it done. It's much faster than using USB, particularly if your destination drive is an SSD.
  3. If you are testing out new operating systems and/or software, you may want to remove drives so that data on them won't be corrupted or lost due to questionable and/or experimental software.
  4. Upgrading drives become a breeze. You can do it in seconds without the need to open up the computer or use any tools.
I'm sure there are many other benefits but, again, primarily just a convenience feature. All of the above can be accomplished without hot swap bays albeit much slower, having to open up the computer case and having to use tools to remove/add drives.

Anyone having problems after upgrade to 10.12.1 with Sleep/wake? Mine does not work anymore :(

Working fine here.
