After days of work, I am close to finalizing my Yosemite installation on my relatively old system... but then Apple decides to release a security update. While catching up on the knowledge base here at Tonymacx86, I noticed that these updates have a good chance of breaking the NVIDIA web drivers, and a lot of forum space is dedicated to fixing it... and it doesn't look fun.

It is not critical for me to have the Web Drivers, so instead of fixing it, can I just revert back to the OSX default drivers? I am using it as a utility computer, so having a more secure system is more important to me than having the best graphics drivers.

The default OSX drivers work for my card, and it appears the web drivers have separate files. In case things go horribly wrong, can I just set Clover to use the default OSX drivers? Or can the update also mess up the default drivers?

I usually set up a test OSX installation on another drive, to install updates to be safe, but I haven't got around to making one yet.
