Success. FoxConn AT-7330 i3 HD4000

Hello all. This was a post for help but the issue is now solved. I bought a NETTOP and have it fully working with the following hardware. I have found no other posts about this machine online anywhere.

  • i3-3217u
  • HM76 chipset
  • ALC887 3 port mic/out/phones
  • 1x HDMI, 1x DVI,
  • 2.5" SATA 6Gbp/s
  • mSATA (250GB SSD installed)
  • RTL8111 Ethernet
  • 4x USB 3.0 / 2.0
  • 2x USB 2.0
  • AR5B195 WiFi/BT

I think this is a far better option compared to 3rd generation intel NUCs because of the extra ports... It also fits nicely in an iMac G5!!

Hello! I have one of these beautiful machines as well and I have for the longest time had headaches to get it to install to no avail. Do you mind telling me how you got it to work?

Sure. EFI attached below.

Make yourself an El Capitan / Sierra USB installer.
If you want to install Sierra, use the latest FakeSMC.kext from the downloads page here, replacing the one in my EFI folder.

Put the EFI folder in your USB EFI partition and you're USB is ready. Use the same EFI on your internal drive once installed.

Make sure in your BIOS you have:

Advanced
  • SATA configuration = AHCI
  • CIR = Disabled
Security
  • Secure Boot = Disabled
  • ME Flash Write Protect = Enabled
BootOptions
  • Launch CSM = Disabled

I used the USB 2.0 ports to install from USB and to plug keyboard / mouse. USB 3.0 works native.

The audio can be enabled by using Toleda's shell script for desktop codecs.

Generate SSDT with the usual SSDT gen.

Thanks for the info and EFI.zip. I have this Foxconn also, it was a workstation that got zapped by a lightning strike. While the PC still runs, the ethernet, HDMI and both of the internal PCIe mini slots are fried, so, I pulled the unit from work and wanted to see if I could run MacOS on it.
The install went fairly easily, but, I have not been able to get the Intel HD4000 to run QE/CI.
I used seirra 10.12.3 to install and then natively updated it to 10.12.4 through the app store.
I'm eager to look at how you got the HD4000 to work.
Since the LAN and internal WLAN were fried, I plugged in USB wifi device, which had Mac drivers.
If I can get the video working, I am going to replace my son's old Mac Mini 2,1 and transfer his stuff to the Foxconn.
Okay, this is a follow up. I used your settings as a guide and it is much closer to replacing the old Mac Mini.
My video is now showing up with 1536MB as Intel HD Graphics 4000, the QE/CI is working, but glitches periodically.
Tried to use Opera browser and it is unusable because of the glitches. However, I'm almost there.Screen Shot 2017-04-07 at 6.15.59 PM.png
