Is there a source for updated information on this release? The article referenced is 3 months old.
 
You can buy those Quadro cards today already ;)
 
Did I miss something or why are Quadro GPUs relevant? Of course you can buy and use them today – if you're running Windows.
Nvidia specifially says Quadro FOR MAC in the title, if they officially support OSX.

Yeah I read a/b that too while I was googling for NVIDIA Web Drivers for GTX 1070

This was talked about a few pages back :)

I think what's happening is Apple is going to start using Metal instead of OpenCL for Final Cut Pro X (Someone spotted a 10.3 update that was online but Apple took it down) a few days ago.

So that means nVidia may have been looking to write Metal optimization drivers for macOS for Apple's Mac Pro (quite possibly).
 
just to know... Did Nvidia announce anything a few days before the release of Maxwell drivers for Osx?
