I had a look on those hotfix SSDTs, but I'm already using a DSDT patch to select the ProBook-87 layout in VoodooPS2Keyboard.kext, similar to your SSDT-KEY87.dsl in your 4x30s repo. This also fixed the volume keys F6/F7 and the mute special key (and also brightness keys until 10.12.1 beta 3...). What should I try next? Btw, would you like to see my DSDT or any other part of my configuration, if that helps?

The ProBook uses PS2 e012 and e017 for brightness keys (as is clearly shown in the logs you posted).

So maybe the e012=91 and e017=90 part is the issue? How can I get rid of this? I can't find anything like this in the VoodooPS2Keyboard config.

I don't even have a patched DSDT, as there is no need for one currently. But if that's what you say is needed, I'll open a new thread as I have no idea what to edit in the DSDT.

All laptops need patched ACPI.

This is not a laptop, it is a desktop as mentioned previously. I'm using a keyboard and mouse plugged into PS/2 ports.

This forum is only for laptops. Desktop questions are off-topic. Please open a separate thread in the appropriate desktop forum.

Note: No native brightness controls expected on desktops.
 
I am using X230 Tablet, almost everything is working correctly, the only problem i was having are

1) CapsLock issue (fixed using v1.8.25)

2) Trackpad preference in the syspref (fixed using v1.8.25)

3) Trackpoint in my thinkpad is not working also the keys(three keys at the top of my trackpad) associated with it. They were working perfectly with the El Captian along with the old voodooPS2.

Help needed Please.
