No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Files change on every restart. Without the script output, impossible to know what happened.
See Problem Reporting, Post #1; attach all requested files
I ran cloverALC again as told, no changes at all. Output works fine, no input devices.
All new files attached as requested (1.-12. see Post #2091).
I attached also the log file from the second run of cloverALC. I'm not sure, but maybe this is useful for you, too.

Thanks again for your help.

Use the letter code from the manual and the previous reply you ignored.
I've not intentionally "Ignored" anything. I don't understand your reference to color coding as it relates to my audio options options. The back panel connector Line Out does not work while the Rear Speaker Out does, which is ok, just the Line Out per the description would have better quality. Additionally, from Windows I get an option in audio settings to select my Monitor's built-in speakers, for the Mac, Sound > Output does not show (prob because it's a Hacktintosh) but oddly Sound > Input shows my various Microphone options.

Use Audio ID: 1
K (orange) is 1st Line Out
O (black) is 2nd Line Out

I made to work sound again after sierra update. After audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0b0.command, make sure you have not ALC892.kext in /Library/Extensions!
toleda, thanks for the script!

Hi Toleda. Thanks for making this guide. But I still ran in too a problem, sorry if it's something obvious.

1: When I run the codec detect command it says:
"Error: no IOReg/HDEF; BIOS/audio/disabled or ACPI problem" and when I want to visit the given link but it said that the site wasn't in use anymore.
2: OS X Sierra, Asus Z170 pro gaming, 1904, 6600k, GTX970.
3:I used this guide, Fixed the "no codec found" message and became stuck on this.
4: Attached
5: I'm so sorry but i don't understand how I need to find the file.
6:Attached
7:N/A
8: Tried to filter "sound assertions" in console/messages, But there were 0 messages.
9: Attached
10:N/A
12/1: Attached
/2: Attached
/3: N/A
/4: N/A

Sorry if I missed something/attached the wrong file, I tried my best to get everything good.

How exactly did you fix the "no codec found" I'm stuck with this right now.
Thanks

To disable SIP and therefore be able to run the script, go into Clover Configurator, then in the sidebar select "Rt Variables," and over on the upper right you should see, "CsrActiveConfig" below a box that says "0x[some number]." Change whatever number is in the [some number] spot to 67 so the box reads, "0x67" and System Integrity Protection will be disabled after you save and restart the computer. That should enable you to run the script if SIP was preventing it.

Hi Cceptus, Thank-you for replying, and with a well explained step-by-step "guide". However, I think my config.plist file is broken. When trying to open in Clover Configurator (v4.33.0) i get an internal error. An older version from a couple of steps back opens fine.

So i did the following:
1) Replaced the current config.plist file with the one from before i removed the fixes (as per toledas post "Fix: 2. CLOVER/config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes/NO (all or remove)").
2) Opened config.plist ("new" one) in Clover Configurator, and went to rt Variables, and entered 0x67 in the box for CsrActiveConfig.
3) Rebooted.
4) Ran the cloverALC120.command again.
5) Rebooted
At this point, the audio was the same, only network devices.
6) Opened config.plist in Clover Configurator.
7) Removed ALL the "fixes" (both on "Old Way" and "New Way" tabs).
8) Re-Run cloverALC120.command.
9) Rebooted again.
Still the same, the only audio devices are Network. (or an USB Mic that works too)

FYI Toleda, I assume adding the 0x67 "fixes" the SIP issue, still no joy. :(

I have attached the files again...

Again Thanks in advance.
