Doing that now and going on the TimeMachine backup shortly! :)

If you want to download Sierra, go to the App Store, type "Sierra" in the search field, and enjoy. if you are antsy..

I'll download it but will wait for Nvidia to (hopefully) drop a driver for this video card I got. Works great in Windows but not so much in OSX...yet! Lol

Quick note to all:

If you need to download/archive OS X El Capitan do it now- likely it will be removed from the Mac App Store when Sierra is released later today.

Was reviewing my purchased apps in the App Store when I saw both El Capitan and Yosemite still there. So for anyone that did previously download it but sorta lost track of their old copy (um, I have a few USB drives floating around here and there + not super well organized ), looks like you can still get at it from the App Store if you previously downloaded it from your Apple account. I didn't actually try the downloads so I am not 100% certain they are live. Hope this helps!

Yes I had to change my system definitions from Mac Pro 3, 1 to iMac 13, 1.
I tried other definitions but they didn't work.
Good luck.
