Ok been driving me mad for the last few weeks. All the threads I have found about this are years old.
I have a ga-z87x-ud4h with a 4770k I7 with 16 GB ram and a GTX 980 with the latest web drivers. I have installed El Capitan with no issues everything is working. But when I try any streaming software or anything that uses hardware encoding it just does not see it or if it does it just donsn't start the process like in obs is Shows Apple Hardware Encoder and when I hit start it just doesn't start. Any way at all to get this to work? would really like to take the encoding off the cpu.
Yes, I tried with and without the intel graphics on the CPU. Even tried having one monitor hooked up to it. Any help or even to tell me this isn't supported would be helpful. At least I know and just move on.
