Seems like 10.12.1 Beta 3 fixed part of the function keys issues, as for me now Volume up/down and mute work, but brightness down doesn't work at all and brightness up works, but also lowers volume. Any ideas out there so far?

You could map the brightness keys to F14/F15.

Where will i find the brightness keys then? I only have F1-F12 on my 8460P.

You customize the keymap for VoodooPS2Keyboard (with ACPI) such that it generates F14/F15 for the brightness keys.

I know how to remap the scancodes within your VoodooPS2Keyboard Kext, but how do I know which codes belong to F14/F15? Can you please tell me or maybe hint to a good tutorial?

I couldn't figure out what codes to use for remap. With debug VoodooPS2Keyboard Console shows
43=e012, e012=91 for F9 key (dimmer)
44=e017, e017=90 for F10 key (brighter)
so they seem to use PS codes. My 8460P uses ProBook Keyboard Layout 87. How should I modify the code assignment to make the keys work properly again?

If so, there are special things you need to do as the SSDTs used by the guide are different and it does not use the Dell PS2 assignments (it uses the HP ProBook PS2 codes).

No, when I started your guide didn't exist yet, only some previous and quite outdated HP PB guides. That's why I figured out most things on my own, went the clean manual way, with a lot of help by your github repos. Thank you so much so far..

I had a look on those hotfix SSDTs, but I'm already using a DSDT patch to select the ProBook-87 layout in VoodooPS2Keyboard.kext, similar to your SSDT-KEY87.dsl in your 4x30s repo. This also fixed the volume keys F6/F7 and the mute special key (and also brightness keys until 10.12.1 beta 3...). What should I try next? Btw, would you like to see my DSDT or any other part of my configuration, if that helps?
