I have an ancient problem, which I had always on my Asus N75sl and which I cannot solve till these days.

It is Monitor-flicker. It is like the monitor works on 50Hz instead of 60Hz. Especially good is the flicker seen, if you look at gray color.

I am using vanilla kexts. HD3000 works only with clover patches (earlier I used patched kexts - was the same).

Some idea or suggestion would be very helpful for me.

Asus N75sl specs:
Intel HM65
i7-2670QM
HD3000/GeForce 635m (optimus)
ALC663
Clover (UEFI)

It is a common problem, no solution (if I understand your description correctly), but let's look at your setup....

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Provide output (in Terminal):
Code:
kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc
kextstat|grep -y applehda

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (press F4 at main Clover screen before collecting). Please eliminate 'themes' directory. Provide only EFI/Clover, not the entire EFI folder.

Attach output of (in Terminal):
Code:
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Compress all files as ZIP. Do not use external links. Attach all files using site attachments only.

It is a pity.

You have a bit of work to do (disable DGPU, implement IGPU PM, etc), but it won't help with your gray gradient flicker.
It happens with some displays, no known solution.

ok, now I know at least, that nothing can be done to solve the issue. Thanks for tip, next days I will solve this issues. :)
Just one more question: on this laptop I have additionally a small subwoofer. Is it theoretically possible to get it working?

I don't think anyone has gotten a subwoofer working with AppleHDA (AppleHDA... no support for more than 2 channels?). But they may not have tried hard enough. I don't have any laptops with a subwoofer so can't experiment myself. You could certainly read up on AppleHDA patching and the Intel HDA spec and maybe you can find a way.

Some have used VoodooHDA and some sort of composite audio setup (you can google about it). I think you lose volume controls when you do that...

I think, I don't have enough knowledges at this point of time to make the subwoofer working with AppleHDA. It's not worth it to invest the time for getting work of the subwoofer, because not many people have laptop with the subwoofer.

Anyway thank you for the answers. This questions do not torturing me anymore :)
