[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9333 using Clover

Thanks. Works like a charm now,
When I deleted the file, I was not able to boot into windows (obviously)

Clover detects bootmgfw-orig.efi, which is why the rename works...

But the best method is to add a UEFI entry for Clover with efibootmgr in Linux and keep the bootmgfw.efi with the original name.

Good day, I have somewhat managed to upgrade from 10.11.2 to macOS sierra using this method https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/direct-update-to-macos-sierra-using-clover.201465/

I am how however finding that the config.plist that works with El Capitan as per this guide (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vbourachot/Dell-XPS13-9333-DSDT-Patch/master/config.plist) is not working with the latest version of Clover v2 r3763 (or r3766 as per Unibeast 7.x)

Was just wondering if I'm wasting my time in getting sierra macOS to work on the Dell XPS 13 9333 or whether it is possible to get it working with some guidance?

What do you mean the config.plist doesn't work with the latest version of clover? It isn't loaded? Do you get an error in the boot log or something?

Ok, my initial efforts resulted in me believing the config.plist from the El Capitan working installation wasn't working.

I went back to basics, created a clean macOS sierra installer and installed succesfully. All boots up without issues using the ACPI/patched folder contents as well as the kext/Other folder with the contents in the attached image.

My wifi is not loading though (Dell DW1560 broadcom chipset) which works flawlessly on El Capitan... any ideas?

Read before asking questions.

I managed to get Sierra installed and mostly working (minus the issues mentioned https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/readme-common-some-unsolved-problems-in-10-12-sierra.202316/) doing nothing more than follow this guide.

In the end, I downgraded to 10.11.6 and will stay with El Capitan until the issues are resolved with Sierra.

Fairly happy with OS X on the 9333 for now. Having said that, the lack of support for DP Daisy chaining in OS X is an issue (it only supports Thunderbolt daisy chaining...). I'm rather hoping that Apple will update OS X with support soon or I may end up back on Linux so I can use all of the monitors I have.

Thanks for the guide Vbo, and thanks RehabMan for the work you've put in across everything.

Hi guys, I need some assistance!

I have installed Yosemite in my Dell XPS 9333 and since the Intel WI-FI module doesn't work. I bought on Ebay an BCM94352Z like the above: (NGFF)

thumb_IMG_0137_1024.jpg

The problem is, when the card arrived, I installed and it doesn't start, I've tried to install Windows 10 but without success, it looks like the card isn't even found by system, like there is nothing inside the slot, but the card is installed.

I received another card as replacement from the ebay seller and that's the funny part.
I have now two BCM94352Z and none of them work.
Take a look at the screenshot above

BCM94352 requirements are in the FAQ.

Hi @RehabMan, I followed all the steps, indeed I done everything:
- FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext is inside EFI;
- re-patched my DSDT;
- I tried first one Dell DW1560 that didn't work and I swapped for a brand new one that I bought on e-bay.

It looks like the computer isn't recognising the bard, but I thought that XPS 13 9333 don't have a Whitelist.
Could this NGFF specific model of card be incompatible with the Slot? I don't know the differences but I know that my OOTB Intel Dual-band AC-7260 is AE (or EA - I really don't know what is the right way to say) haha

Thanks in advance!!
