Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI
CPU
Intel I7-6700k
Graphics
AMD Sapphire 7950
I have an ATI 7950 graphics card with a skylake build, I7 6700k Processor, Gigabyte 170xp-sli Motherboard, and my computer will not boot when I have my graphics card in the computer. It will get about half way through startup, then crash, and restart. If I take it out and boot with the onboard graphics instead, however, the computer works just fine. I am able to boot into safe mode with the graphics card in, but it is very laggy and many products, like clover, do not work well in safe mode. I have attached a photo with the error I have received right before the computer crashes.

The Make is Sapphire. I haven't tried inject ATI yet, I can try that out.

I don't know if it does or where to find it. I tried injecting ATI and it did no good. Exact same error message.

Okay. Did you ever try to use a different port or booting without display?

Another idea: You could try downloading a VBIOS of another (different make) HD 7950 and loading it with Clover's "LoadVBIOS" feature. Make sure both cards have the same port layout (e.g. 2x mDP, 1x DVI, 1x HDMI).

I actually tried to install MacOS Sierra, as it just came out, and I was actually able to install it with the graphics card in the computer as long as I only had the DVI port plugged in. When I tried to start it up, however, it would run into this error: "...Windows is Hibernated. Will not be able to read/write. Run chkdsk." So I then unplugged my Windows install, then it came up with this error after: "prevent idle sleep list: IODisplayWrangeler* (1)."

I mentioned in another post before that my friend has the exact same make and model graphics card I have and he didn't have any issues installing El Capitan which is more confusing to me, especially since we swapped graphics cards and mine worked in his computer and his didn't work in mine, so it's not an issue with the graphics card itself and the graphics card is compatible since he uses his hackintosh with that graphics card without any issues using the same DVI port that I am using. I can try and boot without display I guess.

we have same card. You have 2 dvi ports i guess.Download a rom from a reference card and put it in ROM folder name it 1002_679a.rom (make sure you have the extension). Inject ati and load vbios checked and there you go.You have it mine.
