Today Apple released 10.11.3, the third major update to OS X El Capitan. Update any supported system using the built-in Software Update functionality through the Mac App Store, or by using the standalone installer available from Apple.com.
Be sure to back up any important data, and if possible clone your hard drive before applying the update. If you have any issues post-update, boot using UniBeast created USB, press spacebar, and boot using Safe Mode.

What we know about 10.11.3 so far...
  • OS X Build 15D21
  • Kernel updated to Darwin 15.3.0
  • Updated Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD graphics drivers
    • NVIDIA Alternate Graphics Drivers have been updated for 10.11.3. If you're using a NVIDIA 'Maxwell' GeForce GTX 750, 750 Ti, 950, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, or TITAN X graphics card, install the update, reboot with nv_disable=1 boot argument, then install the new drivers and reboot normally.
  • This update will replace your audio drivers. If you enabled Realtek onboard audio using MultiBeast or the CloverALC110 script, no changes will be necessary.
  • Install OS X El Capitan App Updated - If you downloaded El Capitan from the App Store prior to today, and you want to have the latest version on your backup installer USB, simply log into the Mac App Store and click Download. The updated 10.11.3 Install OS X El Capitan App can be found in the Applications folder. You may then re-create your UniBeast installation USB.

Testing is now underway- this post will be updated. Good luck, and let us know how it goes! Report your results here.

OS X 10.11.3 Update [DRAFT]

Notes:
- This update may break some of your El Capitan functions, like audio and the nVidia Web drivers. So, being an Early Adopter maybe fraught with problems. Make sure you backup first.:thumbup:

- If you're using nVidia drivers for your GeForce GTX 750, 750Ti, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti and the Titans 'Maxwell' graphics cards, you'll need to install the nVidia 10.11.3 Web driver(s) after the 10.11.3 update. You are advised to wait for nVidia's update or use the nVidia Yosemite Beta Web drivers. tonymacx86 will publish the link to the nVidia Web Driver as soon as it's announced, usually within 2-3 days. See threads in the Graphics forum section or here if you have one of these Maxwell graphics cards, such as: GTX 750, 750Ti, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti or Titan graphics cards.

Here's the step by step way to update for those who aren't using the nVidia Maxwell graphics cards :
:ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
:ch: Download the Software Update or Combo Update and run it to update to 10.11.3 - the updater will reboot upon completion;
:ch: Upon rebooting into El Capitan, you can:
:ch: (Optional) Update to the latest version of Clover,
:ch: Check to see if your audio is working (If you enabled Realtek onboard audio using MultiBeast v8 or toleda's CloverALC110 script, your audio should be OK),
:ch: (Optional) Check to see if your TRIM setting has survived through the update - if not, use the "trimforce" Terminal command[SUP]1[/SUP]; if you've used the "trimforce" command in 10.11.0, then it should "survive" the update, but check to make sure; and
:ch:Re-boot

Please post help requests in the El Capitan Desktop Support Forum section (not in this thread).

Tip: Don't use the iMac15,1 and Mac Pro 4,1/5.1/6.1 System Definitions. These SysDefs have been found to cause problems. For Haswell builds, toleda recommends iMac 14,1 for HD4600 and iMac14,2 for graphics cards; MacPro6,1 is only appropriate for X99 systems. Additionally, Clover is pretty "smart" about choosing a default System Definition for your system.

[SUP]1[/SUP] Use the new Terminal trimforce command in the following manner:
Code:
sudo trimforce enable

Time to update :thumbup: Let see what happens.
