Hello everyone.
Long ago in 2012 I figured out how to get my system up & running Snow Leopard. Later when Mavericks came out, I tried to upgrade my OS & basically ended up wiping my 3 OSX hard drives with no success upgrading to Mavericks. Since I had access to my mac at work, I decided not to...
I've got to agree. That the tonymac setup software doesn't work with this particular system doesn't negate the fact that it does work & extremely well at that once you have the right kexts installed for the components you have. Would be nice if this mobo & chip setup conformed to the standard...
Hmmm, if it's the same system then I wonder what the problem is?
I'm not having any version issues; just a self created, stupidity glitch :banghead: that's too inconsequential to bother with.
Wow... lots of posts. Sorry to answer so much later but I've been away so only just saw them.
Throwstone, my processor also shows as a Xeon. I overclocked my processor & had it as high as 4.2 GHz & running just fine based on what I read at another site but decided to scale it back down to...
In that case you might want to consider adding IOGear's GBU521 USB Dongle to that list, it definitely works if my system is any indication (& I noticed it's on sale at NewEgg.ca for $16 + $5 shipping at this time)...

Good question to bring up as I forgot about that.
When I first installed everything I had my SSD on a 3.0 SATA because I was reading that OSX is iffy with the 6.0 ones & I'd already spent weeks struggling to get my system running - my patience was worn thin. However as a test afterwards to see...
My understanding from what I've read is that DSDT's are specific to the bios version they were created on. My bios version is F12 so you'd need to be the same in order to use the DSDT I created. I've seen other ones for earlier versions kicking around on the site so it shouldn't be to difficult...
You are correct, the links to the files are broken. I've re-uploaded them to my original post. You should be able to retrieve them once the edited post has cleared administrator approval. Hope they do the trick for you.
I just uploaded a replacement image for multibeast as the one I had before was from a previous attempt & no longer valid. Try that first as the settings from my old image may have installed stuff that doesn't work for your system.
If the DSDT isn't working for you, don't install it but instead...
