[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

I have pretty much the same setup. The Harmony Companion is paired as a Harmony Bluetooth Keyboard here as well. You also did create a "Mac Computer" device and an activity with that device, like "Use media center", right? By default, the Harmony sends a sleep command to the Mac when you turn...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Yes, I know about that command. It's actually "pmset -g assertions" though (plural "s"). That didn't help me much, unfortunately. There was nothing listed in the prevent sleep categories, even though my NUC would _not_ properly sleep, but wake up immediately. After much fiddling and blindly...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Adding to this thread's activity lately—it's me again with my NUC's newly developed sleep problems: They still exist, even without any Shimo tasks running. My machine managed 4 sleeps in the last two days and now it refuses to sleep again. In between I didn't change anything, didn't run any new...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Yes, I'm using Shimo. I'm using it actually on all my Macs and Hackintoshes. Never had problems with it preventing sleep before. I also never have any VPN connection still alive while I'm trying to get my NUC to sleep. Hmmm. I have it closed and removed from my login items for now for further...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

It's me again. :-/ My NUC is still giving me grief—now it's refusing to sleep reliably. So, I'm still at the stage after having gotten rid of FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext and having installed a modified AppleALC.kext. At first there was no digital audio to be found, but...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Well, I installed Multibeast with minimal settings. I actually only added IntelMausiEthernet, as far as I know. Hmmm? To rebuild kext caches, is it enough to just run Kext Utility? (as written in this tutorial) That's what I always used to do. Or do I need to run extra Terminal commands? I...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

@Leesureone: So, getting rid of FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext and installing the modified AppleALC.kext, according to post #1594 gave me a new analog headphone option (that's actually working) in System Preferences > Sound > Output, but still no digital HDMI anywhere to be...

Ok thanks, I'll try that as well. Will report back. And what about #11? Is that still relevant in late 2019?

Thanks for looking further into it. Well, I mounted my EFI, moved all the Kexts from "EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other" to a backup folder on my desktop, rebooted and… … … still no change, still nothing in my sound output devices. *sigh* In other news, I ordered a "Creative X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro V3"...

I tried your config.plist just now. Unfortunately still no sound—not a single audio output device listed. :( Thanks anyway, was worth a try.

Well, as I wrote, I already followed all the RehabMan's terminal commands and bash scripts from the post installation part of his guide. Everything seems to work, but my audio—which is rather unfortunate for a media center. I guess you can't help me there then.

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

So, I tried following this guide and install macOS Mojave on my newly bought… NUC7i5BNK Core i5-7260U 2,2GHz Dual Crucial CT8G4SFD824A 8GB Dogfish SSD Sata M.2 2242 60GB …with the intention of making this my new media center and thus replacing my ageing 2009 Mac mini. My first problem already...

Thanks for the replies. Ok, you guys are right, I need to give a little more details about my current components and setup. I'm done with my GA-Z87N-WIFI. Advice needed!

I give up on my GA-Z87N-WIFI system. The last couple of month were a giant exercise in frustration. I spend so much time (and extra money) on getting this machine to work reliably and it just doesn't seem to be doable. I can't get this thing to run Mavericks and not freeze on a regular basis...

GA-Z87N-WIFI Mavericks 10.9.3: system freezes when uploading large files or performing a backup

Can't help you there. ... Well, actually I can: Buy yourself an USB sound card! That's one of the first things I did with my GA-Z87N-WIFI Hackintosh. The onboard sound chip was driving me crazy. It produced very, very poor audio quality through my active speakers and on top of that, every time...
