I don't remember. I have to boot up the system.
It's been running Monterey just fine. I was hoping I could boot the Ventura installer and just wipe out the osx installation w/o touching the EFI partition.
Question for everyone:
I have iMessage, facetime, airdrop working, but I have one issue
When a message is deleted on my real Macs and iPhone, it does not get deleted on my Hack. Otherwise everything else works. Anyone know of a fix?
running Monterey
Thanks
[update]
so under Monterey, using the ”FakePCIID.kext" and "FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext" results in system instability.
so, I have reverted to plugging in both HDMI ports to enable sound over HDMI
there must be a work around for this.
I did the same thing with a fractal 304 case. I don't need so many drives, now that 8 and 10tb drives are out. The 304 is slightly wider and taller than a DS1513+ that it replaced. I only wished it had hot-swap HD trays. The 804 is a lot bigger than the 304.
I went mini-ATX (itx) for my build...
There's an English section on the xpenology website
I went aircooled. Again, I really don't think it's necessary for a high heat high power CPU. It's on 24/7 therefore low power is better
I built an xpenology box also. I used the fractal 304 case which is a good size. Just a little bigger than a synology ds15xx box.
I did end up using a 7700k cpu, but that seems like overkill. Watt meter shows about 45w during idle.
what's everyone's idle cpu processor speed?
I downloaded the intel power gadget app and have it running in the background. It seems my CPU speed does not drop below 1GHz.
@syscl
I see some of your screenshots and you have the CPU speed dropping to below 500MHz
