Yes, I did. In my case it was a microcode bug by Intel, that could be fixed with an update of my EFI/BIOS. Check here for details: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-gigabyte-ga-z270-gaming-k3-gigabyte-nvidia-geforce-210-now-sapphire-ati-radeon-rx580.246679/#post-1988983

Only thing to be done carefully: USB config and...
After having had a lot of those random freezes/crashes (with mouse ball spinning, sound distortion, completely unresponsive and so on, no usable kernel messages in log) I almost tried everything (creating rock solid SMBIOS definitions allowing for iCloud & iMessage; configuring USB properly...
I had those random freezes aswell and tried almost everything. At the moment it looks like the problem could be fixed in my configuration with a BIOS-UPDATE, which contains Intel microcode updates for severe issues...
A couple of other additions:
1. VT-X
In order to re-enable VT-X on this board's UEFI settings, I added DMAR signature to DROP TABLES in clover configurator. Found here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-fix-the-vtd-0-fault-error-vt-x-working.232113/
2. USB Stability
I had to learn...
So in the meantime, I tried to make iCloud working and had to learn, that iCloud, iMessage seem to require a working NVRAM and valid SMBIOS entries, which were not the case on my system. iCloud allowed me to ask for 2 factor auth, but eventually didn't login on the hackintosh.

Thanks for that information. I was experiencing this issue even when using Avidemux 2.7.2 and turning on a video on Youtube... I repeatedly made the system crash. I was even wondering, if my CPU might be defective. And after changing the CPU cooler, the SSD, the graphics to Sapphire RX580 during...
Thanks a bunch for your lightspeed feedback. I tought I fixed the device-id and the highest port already (but well, I have become an old man, my brain does things, you don't wanna know ;-) )
For the ASMedia USB3.1: it works ootb. I used it for installation purposes. As nice to understand, but...
That's an outstanding helpful tutorial. Thank you very much for compiling all the information. As an addition, you already indicated: when running High Sierra 10.13.6 the USB-Limit-Removal does not work.
In my case it didn't. This meant, that I could not see any of the SSxx USB3.0 ports in...
Sorry for not getting back any earlier, I had issues with my account here.
I am not sure, if sharing the EFI folder is allowed, since I don't know about all the license types. I attach a screenshot for you. I hope this helps... I don't use anything fancy...

As an addendum:
if you decide to use that crappy "Migration Assistant" for migrating a Chameleon/Chimera based Hackintosh to a Clover based system, get ready for tons of issues and a non booting system (even if it was running perfectly ten seconds ago).
What does "Migration Assistant" do to...
Thanks a bunch for your work!!! I have just a cpl of questions:
1. for which bios version is this dsdt?
2. which patches are included in this dsdt?
3. in case you already tried it: does this dsdt also work for mavericks?
thanks again, ximekon
