High Sierra (14.0.01) doesn't recognize internal SATA drives until I update the firmware on GA-Z77-DS3H

Bond, I'm so glad you mentioned that. It never occurred to me that I can go backwards to a previous firmware. That's a great idea; they've all worked great. My goal isn't actually to clear unwanted UEFI boot images. It's just to be able to see my internal drives when I install High Sierra in...

High Sierra (14.0.01) doesn't recognize internal SATA drives until I update the firmware on GA-Z77-DS3H

So, this will sound batty, and your first impressions should be that "this guy is losing his mind," but hear me out... I have an old workhorse Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H that has had numerous OS successes from Snow Leopard, El Capitan, Mavericks, etc. My High Sierra thumb drive would boot but could...

External USB HDD's not mounting after sleep

Re-run Multibeast, and only add one new driver --> Drivers --> USB --> 3rd Party USB 3.0. You don't have to pick all your other settings; Multibeast will only add this one add on to the settings that are already working for you. I had this same problem with an external USB hard drive. I made...

    Jeremiah 82's Build: Core i5-3570K - GA-Z77-DS3H - 8GB RAM - HD4000

Snicking a ferrite core on the audio cable might help reduce the interference pickup. One of these - on the mobo side of the audio cable.

    yannmac build - GA-Z77-DS3H - i5-3570k - Intel HD4000

Snow Leopard is probably the problem. You need Mountain Lion for the HD4000 graphics to work properly out of the box. From the app store it only takes about 20 minutes to download. BTW, YannMac - badass case! I wish they still made 'em.

Do you remember how you fixed it? I'm in the same situation. I can't even get to the BIOS or the boot menu!

Any luck? I'm about to order this same card, also for an apogee converter with logic 9. Did this turn out to be a Mountain Lion problem? Or did the card coincidentally become defective around the time of upgrade? Others have reported ML-related problems with the old Syba/Siig standard. Has...
