    No Turbo Boost with a i7 7700K

I have the same issue except that I did not swap my CPU. (Haswell i5-4210u, on Mojave)

Touchpad works perfectly or not at all (ELAN)

Your kext configuration seems to be just like mine! Except those two I2C kexts you have installed—VoodooI2CHID and VoodooI2CELAN. As per the I2C documentation, only one satellite kext should be installed. And that is the reason why your 4-5 finger multitouch does not work; it did work for me...

Touchpad works perfectly or not at all (ELAN)

Hey, first of all, replacing the ApplePS2SmartTouchpad.kext with the Voodoo kexts combo had fixed the problem with the touchpad being not responsive across MacOS and Windows. At first I did install VoodooPS2Controller.kext + VoodooI2C.kext + VoodooI2CELAN.kext as you had suggested earlier, but...

<< Solved >> CPU frequency always at max

Ok, both issues fixed now—the AppleALC kext was causing the CPU stress because of an invalid layout-id (I guess it had something to do with headphone output and line-in audio input interfering with each other; hence the stress).

<< Solved >> CPU frequency always at max

All my kexts are up to date now (Lilu.kext was outdated by one version). According to the Activity Monitor, coreaudio uses barely nothing of resources:

<< Solved >> CPU frequency always at max

You know what? Everything seemed to be ok, but after fixing the audio (moving the kext), the CPU problem came back! I have now removed AppleALC.kext and CPU works normally again. What could be causing such behaviour? I have always thought that this kext had to affect only audio.

I did reupload those; I actually have just solved the audio problem - I had to move AppleALC.kext from /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other to /Library/Extensions.

<< Solved >> CPU frequency always at max

Thank you, this fixed the CPU issue. It broke my audio though - no output or input audio devices are shown in System Preferences -> Sound now.

Touchpad works perfectly or not at all (ELAN)

I have just noticed that the VoodooI2C's Elan Satellite kext you told me to install is not loaded, is this normal?

Can anyone help? My laptop isn't really usable when its battery dies after 30 minutes :/

Touchpad works perfectly or not at all (ELAN)

Many thanks. I will certainly try doing it all, if only I have some time. Regarding your last paragraph though, I think that your autorestart is different than mine, the one presented on the video. When I had installed some incompatible kexts before, the autorestart was really different - it...

Touchpad works perfectly or not at all (ELAN)

I have just installed those three kexts you mentioned, and the problem got worse. Touchpad problem still persists, and what actually got worse is my power button now doesn't work at all in MacOS, unless I hold the power button for 5 seconds so all the electricity is gone from the laptop - then I...

Touchpad works perfectly or not at all (ELAN)

Thanks for your help. The function key works just as expected - when I turn on or off wifi using that option on MacOS or Windows, it stays in the same state on all systems. The problem is with the touchpad though. It doesn't matter whether I turn the touchpad on or off using the function key in...

<< Solved >> CPU frequency always at max

Hello, I am struggling with my Haswell CPU which keeps its frequency all the time at 2.4 GHz, while its minimum is 800 MHz and 2.7 Ghz at turbo. I have already set config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KernelPm=true, put SSDT-XCPM.aml in EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched and I do not have...
