I finally resolved this using OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi worked. This issues are documented in this article.
I also bought a 1600W power supply but that was to just rule it out as an issue.
I read that too, so it might be something besides the CPU. I did the power calculator and it came to 1309W i have a 1300W so I hope that isn't the problem.
The Titan Xps recommend 250 W, so that's 1000W. I have underpowered the video card before and the whole computer didn't boot. But I can't...
I have a GA-Z270X-Gaming 9 and I have successfully installed High Sierra with 2GPUs, Titan Xps. (Most) everything is working fine, but enough works for a great rendering machine.
I bought 2 more to put it over the top. When I installed all 4 GPUs I get the error "couldn't allocate runtime area"...
So I got the Z270X-Gaming 9 up and running high sierra, woo hoo. I had two GPUs to start. I bought the other two, install them and booted up and I got a "couldn't allocate runtime area". I uninstalled the 4th GPU and everything booted up fine.
Is this the processor issue you were talking about...
I too have High Sierra working by using clover and copying over the Kext files. Still need some love with sleep and sound, but everything else is working. It would be great to have it boot from the SSD.
