Hi @spottsy so were you able to get macOS Big Sur working on your Intel NUC Bean Canyon? I have the same Intel NUC and I am looking at turning that into a Hackintosh too.
I tried going through the last 2-3 pages of this thread but I can't find anywhere where you specified what you used for a...
Yea I saw that the difference between the H and the Z models are that Z can overclock the CPU. I won't be doing any overclocking, so that's alright. Just that I can't find the H models these days :(
Hello, I'm fairly new here but I have successfully built a Hackintosh probably 6 months ago or so.
Now I want to 'upgrade' my Hackintosh to a smaller form so I'm now shopping around for an ITX Motherboard.
Since my original Hackintosh build was with Socket 1150, I thought I'd stick with that to...
When I saw this product I was thinking the same... Ooo! Hackintosh!
I've already got my Hackintosh up and running but was looking at this as a form of an upgrade :)
Get a smaller case as well as ITX Motherboard with it (for some reason I'm struggling to find ITX Hackintosh compatibles here in...
With $500-$600, you can spend that on a decent NAS, I've only had bad experiences with cheap NAS units and never had the chance to shell out for more expensive ones.
Anyways, since I don't have experiences with expensive NAS units I won't be making any suggestions in that topic.
My current...
Not completely screwed, I believe there is a way to convert MBR to GPT without reinstalling HOWEVER I've never tried this and I would never try this. It just seems like a band aid solution, so I'd rather format and reinstall completely. With a Hackintosh I tend to make sure the OSes are all...
Maybe check your Win7 drive is GPT or MBR. If it's GPT, then check if it's installed as UEFI or Legacy. From my experience, you need it to be GPT and UEFI for clover to be able to boot into it since OSX uses UEFI to boot.
To to check for GPT you can go into command (Win+R, then type cmd) then...
Thank you! It's working now... so in my UEFI I changed "Other OS" to "Windows 8 WHQL". Changed CSM to "Never" (or aka "disabled") and now it works.
At first I had a mini panic attack as when I "Saved and exit" screen went black, didn't even see motherboard boot screen, no clover boot...
Yup it's currently set as "Other OS" but I'll try changing that.
When you say disable CSM, I think I may have already disabled that? I'm at work now but will double check tonight, but from memory I believe I changed the setting my UEFI (BIOS?) to UEFI only (instead of UEFI and Legacy boot).
Or...
Yea I have 5 Windows boot options in clover (it picks up my other partition on the same drive as Windows).
Move tried all 5 options and they all don't work, the Boot Windows EFI from EFI gets the Windows logo up and the spinning wheel (like a normal Windows boot) but then once that's done my...
Thank you jacopers, your post helped me point me in the right direction.
I managed to get iMessage, handoff and continuity working! :)
I had to Google around a bit and ended up following this guide as well.
I guess I'm very much a noob when it comes to this stuff :P but I am happy there's this...
I seem to have problems booting into Windows 10.
I have 1 x SSD and 2 x HDD.
1 x SSD (OSX)
1 x HDD (Win10)
1 x HDD (HFS+, mainly for storage for the OSX)
What I did was the following steps:
1. Disconnect 2 x HDD, installed OSX onto the SSD as per instructions on Tonymacx86
2. Disconnect SSD +...
