The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

i've figured out a solution to not having to use a USB stick to get into mac OS Catalina 1) run diskutility 2) create a 200mb partition (choose MSDOS Fat and give it a name of "EFI") on the highest level of your main drive 3) copy over your EFI folder that you've been using (the one you've been...

Will Formatting SSD Old Installation Effect New?

Hi, I have two m.2 SSD in my pc and I have an older installation of MAC OS installed on the other. I alternate between drives when I upgrade to new versions of MAC OS, because I want to ensure I have a stable installation before migrating. My question is, if I now format the other drive, will...

I swapped out the RAM for 32GB today, and now my Mac wont sleep. As soon as it attempts to sleep, it wakes up. I tried restarting, running Mac Optimizer / extras / execute all. Still wakes up immediately. What should I check first? I used terminal and it says that [powerd:sleepWake] Wake from...

I'm finding that 16GB of RAM is not enough. I'm contemplating getting 32GB of RAM. Is there anything that can cause a problem just swapping out the RAM I have and putting in 32GB of RAM (2x16GB)? Same speed 3200MHz same timing.

Yes, it happens after sleep. I'm using ModMikes EFI, and, yes, I have the DW1560. In regards to the guide for activating read/write on Catalina, I've narrowed down the config.plist entry to change, but Im at a loss. NVRAM/ADD/7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82/csr-active-config should be set...

Will take a look. Thanks. I've started having another issue. When coming out of sleep, my Bluetooth is not working. My mouse and wireless keyboard won't respond. I have to plug in a USB cable to get my keyboard to work, and use a wired mouse. When I check the Bluetooth settings, it shows as...

Anyone have a way to change permissions for Catalina boot drive to be both read/write? I've Googled it, and every way I've tried fails.

I woke up early this morning, and had to boot of Windows installation USB. Installed Windows 10 again onto my SSD. Then load EZ Updater and reflash the BIOS. Now I'm back into Catalina. I'm not making any new changes to my BIOS settings as it may corrupt my BIOS again.

The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

An odd issue just arose. I went into my BIOS and turned off the LED lighting when in sleep mode setting, saved, and then the BIOS keeps loading back up. It’s not detecting my M.2 install drive as being attached. Just disappeared. I tried setting LED lighting back on, but that didn’t correct the...
