I have the BCM94360CS2 and WiFi doesn't work in Sonoma. I’m assuming then that this card is part of the group of Broadcom cards that are now unsupported in Sonoma?
Here's a good price on a Radeon VII: $499. Much cheaper than what I paid for mine. https://www.newegg.com/xfx-radeon-vii-rx-vegma3fd6/p/N82E16814150820?Description=radeon vii&cm_re=radeon_vii-_-14-150-820-_-Product
I updated to the new supplemental build and got the error again. I figured out that what fixes it is booting to Windows and then booting back to macOS.
I’m not sure why this works but once I’ve done it once, it remains fixed until the next update.
Try the one marked Install but also has the word Data. It was trial and error for me figuring out which partition it was but I got it working by just picking each one until it worked.
It’s possible that it’s not failing but does one of those crash style reboots. Just make sure to select the correct partition in Clover on startup and it should continue installing.
After that, it should then indicate that it needs to restart (the proper way).
Use the "-" button to delete the Ethernet connection and then use "+" to it back. If it's not listed as available to add, then you don't have a kext loaded for your Ethernet.
If it doesn't work, then replace your existing ethernet kext with the latest version of IntelMausiEthernet kext or...
I finally got around to buying a wifi/bluetooth card that's natively supported in macOS Catalina. It's a BCM94360CS2 device that includes a PCI-e adaptor+antennae and cables all for $32.98. (I paid $30.98 but the price went up in a week.)
Installation was simple: plug everything in and make...
I had it fixed with the GM Seed but after I updated to the public release, it's shagged again. The only change I made was to add OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi. Everything worked without this but I couldn't get the update installed without it.
So, i'm back to one monitor again...
Thanks for doing this. It’s appreciated. Saves me the hassle of swapping GPUs.
I still have hope that support will be out soon. Similar to how the Radeon VII was done in Mojave but preferably a bit earlier in the Catalina life cycle.
Dear Santa,
Please bring us Radeon 5700 series support...
I'll try to install the 5700XT from my AMD system in my main system and check if it works tomorrow. I highly doubt it though. Based on what I saw with the GM seed, the 5700 XT won't be supported in this release. Maybe in the next point release.
Got it working! I disabled the iGPU but this time I stayed with the iMac Pro SMBIOS. Now both displays work. Also, hardware encoding is working as reported by MacX DVD and FCP X export times when compared when the iGPU is enabled is much faster. Seems like it's finally using the power of the...
