Hi everyone!
I bought a new external display, 25" UltraWide LG 25UM58-P IPS and I'm having trouble outputting the display's native resolution of 2560x1080 through HDMI, Yosemite only detects up to 1920x1080 (no such issue on Windows 10 on the same laptop). I'm running 4540s (i5 Sandy Bridge)...
Did somebody manage to install Yosemite or El Capitan on original PovoMac? I built mine 4 years ago and it's still running Lion that I installed in the first place, thought about upgrading the CPU (could probably find i5 or i7 used relatively cheap) and freshening it up a little...
Well, something funny just happened! USB sound card, flash drive, iPod touch and Samsung Galaxy S3 still don't work on USB 3.0 ports, but a USB MIDI keyboard does.
I'll reinstall for sure, just not now. I'm in a middle of a project and need to use Logic Pro, plus I have a ton of plugins and...
Checked ioreg, it seems like I'm already using AppleUSBXHCI
But I patched again anyway (latest, 6.1.13r3), with selected options:

Could you help me out? I have an extremely annoying issue...
My USB 3.0 ports are working pretty randomly (some devices work on them, some don't, but they mostly don't). My wireless mouse receiver and external audio card are plugged into both USB 2.0 ports and this leaves me with no available...
Sorry for digging up a thread, but is it possible to run both HDMI and VGA ports, while NOT using the built-in display? (sandy 4540s) They both work independently, I don't know how to "explain" to the computer to turn off the built-in one... (except by closing the lid, but then it just goes to...
I'm getting some weird audio distortion/crackling/clicking during playback from flash player, any chance this is related to the latest probook installer? (6.1.8.1 beta)
EDIT: it's definitely a software issue, happens on built-in speakers as well as on external connected through headphones...
Phew, ok, it's over... Got SSD to boot, updated to 10.8.5, enabled trim, and all working now (but I did get a kernel panic after enabling trim, after one restart it booted normally). Thank you very much.
Sweet little piece of hardware :)
I had one when I first installed OS X, then I needed the usb drive, so it got formatted... Not a good idea...
Ok, so I made a new usb stick with unibeast on it, but it won't boot. I tried using boot flags you mentioned in the guide (PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=No -x), but it gets stuck at...
