I haven’t encountered any problems with method 1, don’t have usb3.1 device so can’t tell that part. Thunderbolt port not activated after shutdown is not related to method 1, had this issue since day 1 high sierra. Not a big issue tho.

My bios is the latest, run a search for bios settings, plist as said before is the same. During install, I used -v, disable Nvidia Drivers, and don’t reboot when kernel panic or something like that in clover
