It's not easy to justify 4960x price of $1000. I don't need IG and slightly higher base clock for twice the price of E5-1650 v2. SO it seems there are no major problems with P9X79-E motherboard. I have to investigate and verify that dual 7970 GPUs will work without a problem. Thanks for help!

Whoa, that's great advice. I thought all non-Xeon chips would work. Thanks! Xeon is not supported by this motherboard. I'll have to swap it out.
