    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

@zzmadd I think it´s a matter of taste... I like the MSI, it´s clear, no blingbling, it just works ;-) It has two LAN ports, one is a RTL8125; it´s without function at the moment, but the fabulous Mausi is working on it: https://github.com/Mieze/LucyRTL8125Ethernet). I have done short tests with...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

Thank you... but the real heroes are e. g. dolgarrenan, Loloflatsixand (or CaseySJ or scottkendall), they are tireless and persistent, and certainly also the guys who made UEFIpatch

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

Her is the patched BIOS-file for MSI X299 SLI PLUS, latest version. Use the Flash button on the backside... leave the MSR Lock at default (i think "Enable"). The EFI-Folder is for 10C and quite small, but it should boot without specific problems (perhaps you have to try with or without...

    Gigabyte X299X - Catalina Support

Hi zzmadd, a good entry level tip is the MSI X299 Pro (https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/X299-PRO), you only have to use a patched UEFI (I have it, if you need). I have got it nearly perfect with an RX 580 and 590, and a flashed Alpine Ridge TB Card (1000 thanks to scottkendall). Tested with 9960X...

    Asus X299 - Support

Hm... with the Flash BIOS it would work because FB is a forcing method. Unfortunately, the TUF M2 have no Flash BIOS...hm. Try this reduced config Plist, it has the MSR Lock patches for Mojave and Cat.

@K-Onix Here is the patched 3006 Version for your board... leave the MSR Lock as ist is (Enabled), it has no funktion, and you need also the Cascade-Lake X fix in Clover/ACPI/patched. Good luck!

Hi! Here are some snapshots... I plug in a flashed Titan Ridge, an Sonnet Solo 10Gbit Card, and a Startech FW-Card to check if the PCIe-Slots are working... seems that it´s okay. But only short tests with my quick and dirty Clover-EFI... Thank you again fo your persistence and diligence!

@Loloflatsix Great news! You are a real genius! And there is more, hold your hat: the AWAC-aml does it´s magic too with the Asus Prime X299 A-II and the MSI X299 Pro!!! But both boards have the problem that the MSR lock in the UEFI does nothing, that means with ASUS and MSI we need this: So...

Just for notice: the X299X Aorus Master is also booting (with the ACPI hotpatch from dolgarrenan) ... so at the moment we have two Gigabyte Cascade Lake X-Boards wich are able to run High Sierra, Mojave and Catalina. Tested with 9960X and 10900X.

    Asus X299 - Support

There are a few threads about this theme... unfortunately none of the refreshed X299 boards (48 PCIe-lanes with 109xx-CPU´s, up to 256 GB RAM) is booting, there is only one exception yet, and it´s a Gigabyte: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/gigabyte-x299x-catalina-support.288625/ There is...

I´m afraid that it will not (never?) boot, like all the other X299 refreshed boards, at least the manufacturers don´t change some things in the UEFI. So dolgarrenan´s Gigabyte Designare EX 10G is the only X299X that is booting :(
