Couple days ago, it was not sending imessages out but it was sending it as SMS to iPhone users. It was sending out the messages which was weird.
I tried to log out and log back in and was able to log back in but not working properly.
didn't do anything special, turned on the computer today...
I got my message working but I notice my smUUID is blank in clover.
I notice my Hardware UUID is same after reboot so it seems the value remains the same.
Should I make new UUID and fill the blank and re activate it?
@jaymonkey
I got my message and FaceTime working using my MLB/ROM off my non working mac after calling Apple to white-listing my value. After successfully activation, I realize that my suUUID in SMBIOS is blank and don't have customUUID, neither inject system ID checked. I only have MLB/ROM...
Getting genuine Serial number using Clover is close to hitting jackpot at slot like quantum project said.
anyway, I used clover generated serial with my non working real mac G5 MLB/ROM, called apple with error code and got it working.
why are you trying to get genuine serial that is not...
if this is showing, you will never be able to log in, Apple can't even help you (if it's real Mac, yes)
You need to change MLB/ROM/SMBIOS/UUID to whatever the combination according to the required pattern so that either lets you log in or shows customer support code.
I pretty much gave up using messages on my hack since December massacre. :)
I have old non-working G5 and extracted MLB from the board (from G5!) and used ethernet address shown on the case sticker, applied to my clover setting, left UUID blank and had gotten customer support code but never...
If you followed direction in post #1 by JayMonkey, you will get an error saying call customer support with error code. If you get activation error, you didn't do it right, either way, it won't work ATM.
I didn't have problem getting my real mac back working after changing my hack's value but my friend had a problem even after resetting value of the hack so I had him changed his password on other real mac device and the service started work on real mac, so I suggest try changing password.
I had my MBP not working with messages. I used its value on my hack, so I logged out of iCloud (from my hack), changed ROM/MLB/uuid and reboot, tried to log in and made sure I was getting error message on message log in, then my MBP started working.
